I've been to Bucklers Hard Museum many times, paid admission and enjoyed my visits, even taking relatives to the attraction. On this occasion all I wanted to do was have a pleasant walk from Bucklers Hard to Beaulieu along the PUBLIC FOOTPATH down by the Beaulieu River. No. There is no longer anywhere to park. The car park attendant informed... More

Thought about going here many times but never have. Now I wished we'd allowed longer there as in 2 hours we packed in a village guided tour, a boat trip, a visit to any open house / chapel and then the wonderful Museum in which we ran out of time. What a wonderful place full of history. Will definitely return.... More

Really lovely place. Easy to find, good car park. Great value for money. Excellent museum. We also went on one of the free guided tours which was excellent. The lady wore period costume and had excellent knowledge, made us laugh too. Well worth a visit. Lovely cafe.

After visiting Beaulieu Museum we managed to get a discount on tickets to Buckler's Hard. The Museum is full of historical information of boatbuilding and the workers homes. Visiting inside the original houses and walking around it in such a beautiful location. Gypsy Mouth IV was also moored so we managed to have a look around. The pub on site... More

Whilst on the face it this place looks like its free if you want to enjoy the full details you have to pay the £6.90 fee, so for 4 adults this becomes a little expensive especially when the New forest Museum at Lyndhurst is free. Its still a nice place to visit and probably a lot more interesting with paid... More

Great place initially to park as Beaulieu has small car parks. Interesting museum in the cottages with waxwork representations of the ship building labourers and their families. Clean tidy and natural a place of beauty wuth a lovely walk along the river to the village. Good choice.
