I went to the pond. There were ducks. I looked at them. They looked at me. It was nice. Davington Hill with its magnificent priory provided its reliable backdrop, behind it the cold blue sky and a small number of perfect white clouds.

There are two benches to sit on in the grassed area justvthe other side of a little wooden but well worn bridge. It's popular with families of young children on their way home from school. A great place to destress after a hectic day just watching or feeding the various aquatic birds

I've come to Stonebridge Pond alot over the years, since a small child myself. It's very beautiful and just a short stroll from town. A lot of ducks too feed and sadly alot of pestering seagulls that steel the bread! Great to see all the ducklings and the different varieties of birds too; ducks, coot and moorhens. My children love... More

Lovely little duck pond, populated by local wildlife for the food, and local people for the pleasure of feeding the residents. A view of the allotments beyond completes this lovely rural scene in summer, when flowers and vegetables are growing fast. I have been watching a coot there for a few days, with the last chick of her brood left... More

Have been visiting and feeding the ducks here since I was a child. Lovely place to stop and not far from town either. If you have some bread left over I'm sure the Stonebridge Ducks will be pleased to see you.

Lovely little place for little children to see ducks and just a short stroll into town after. Come here often whenever we've got a spare moment and some spare bread and it's a nice little stroll and enjoyable for the little ones x

It's a lovely little place to take children and introduce them to wildlife. There are water birds in abundance! They are not only in the pond. But will come onto the grass. And will walk right up to you. They're tame and know that people mean food. There is a little bench where you can sit. The grass is a... More
