Excellent day out for all the family. Fun on the trains and traction engine and a picnic or lunch from the cafe.

First time at the railway showing our cars. Both my granddaughter (12 years) & grandson (7years) thoroughly enjoyed a lovely day, with plenty to see and do. The trains, carrages and steam engines were beautiful. The volunteers were very helpful and knowledgeable and really enjoyed working there. Lovely picnic areas, cafe & shop. The model railway was very impressive and the museum very informative. Lovely walks which my dogs enjoyed. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and family friendly. I Highly recommend - a good day out.

Visited with friends and was surprised about how much there was to see. There was plenty of parking right near the entrance. The main attraction is the railway which runs from the main station up to the field used for parking and then in the other direction down to a small station in a wood. The whole end to end journey takes less than 10 minutes and the locomotives work hard up the bank to the main station. The whole place is beautifully kept including the buildings, locomotives and grounds. There is also a large museum with other locomotive, traction engines and tractors etc Everyone we spoke to was so friendly we will definitely be going back.

Never been here before but what a lovely place to visit. Set in past times the decor throughout gave a feel of what it may of been like. scenery so beautiful. Bluebells throughout. Jump aboard the old steam trains and have a nice ride all around. Even hop aboard a tractor ride. Ample amount of parking and grass land to have a picnic. Cafe not overly priced. Definitely one to head for when the weather is nice. Good way to spend part of our Easter Day
