Took our luncheon stop here on a mystery coach tour and spent a pleasant hour or so picnicking and wandering the grounds of this fascinating castle. The mound (motte) was covered with thousands of daffodils in bloom. We didn't have time to take a gatehouse tour but that is something which is definitely 'on the list' for the future when... More

Lovely walk round here with the other half. Lots of stones, lots of history, well maintained. Worth an hour of your time.

Went on a short tour of the castle to remind me of my childhood when I used to go regularly. Nothing seems to have changed from 40 years ago. Well kept lawns and buildings. Dont think you need too long there but a walk around the park and river even in February was refreshing and memory provoking

Had a lovely time touring the castle at our own place, spent about an hour and a half easily wandering around with a tour phone so we could stop at each point and spend more time if we liked. The staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Will visit again! Its very reasonable at £8.50 per adult.

Wonderful castle next to the river in Tonbridge's main thoroughfare . Slowly but surely we walked the incline to the portal the sun shining brightly through it. The bailey is now a lawn and to the right as you enter the citadel is the motte. I marvelled at the man hours put in to achieve it. We claimed the snaking... More

When I came to Tonbridge castle the heavens opened up and it was a very wet day but I think I enjoyed my trip more as I got to walk around the castle and in the gatehouse without anybody else around. It was a great few hours to just look and enjoy the history and displays. Entry to the tower is... More

Tonbridge castle is very attractive. Very well looked after from looking outside. The grounds are lovely and clean and tidy. Haven't actually been inside, but walking around is beautiful and quiet considering how close to the high street it is
