Beautiful, if mostly man made and man sculpted. The only invasion of peace was hearing the traffic from the A21 flyover.

We stopped by as we were in the area for a walk and we LOVED it! Very impressed with such a space and it was so relaxing to be by the lake too! A long walk for some fresh air! Large carpark too. I reckon it's often busy. Cute paths and a lovely play area too by the entrance. Plus a nice cafe too. We will definitely come back with our little one next time we are in the area! It was so refreshing and peaceful. Good for the mind! Dog-friendly too of course! More details and free family days out in Kent on my blog The Frenchie Mummy. So Google it and have a look there too! Merci!

A lovely country park to spend a couple of hours in on a hot sunny day. Easy and cheap to park ( Approx £1.30 for 4 hours). A great cafe/takeaway with picnic benches selling hot and cold food and drinks. The staff were very friendly and helpful. You can walk around the lake which is around 3/4 mile and there are lots of benches and picnic benches dotted around to have a rest and take in the scenery. There are a lot of geese to look at!. It also seems a popular place for local fishermen. All in all this is a lovely place esp if you have younger children who can ride their bikes around the lake.

This little open air cafe is excellent. We go there occasions for a walk and always look forward to their egg and bacon baguette! It’s always well cooked and they use good quality ingredient. The sausages are also of good quality. They provide cushions for the seats if it cold or damp, or you can eat in your car if it’s really too cold! The coffee and tea are also good. A selection of home made cakes and snacks are also available and bird food for the ducks. So all in all I would recommend this cafe highly.
