The harbour is full of activity. The colourful nets strewn on the wall, the fishing boats tied in the harbour, the sound of the seagulls and tinkling ships mast's and the smell of fresh fish and sea air. We bought a pot of fresh crayfish from the fish market and ate it greedily while we walked along the harbour. And... More

My family and I have been here a few times and still find the little sheds on the harbour side really interesting and quaint. There's a variety of different foods and home made goods to be had, also the fresh wet fish shop which also sells and prepares oysters for you are very reasonably priced. Staff and locals are very... Fab place to look around, loads of fresh fish cafes and some little hut stores that sell crafts and odds and ends. There is limited parking on the harbour but plenty a short walk down the road. It leads on to the seafront and is a loverly place to amble about with the family.

A small but interesting working harbour on the Kent coast. We visited on a Saturday and found perhaps a dozen or so "pop-up style" artisan shops and eateries in one area. Very pleasant walk along the waterfront and quite the thing to do, based on the crowds!

Lovely harbour, safe for the dogs, plenty of choice for food and drink, we had a nice drink in the Pearson's arms. Plenty of parking at a reasonable price.
