Though a ruin, we found the castle really interesting with its many nooks and crannies and spent an hour enjoying the views from the top and the exhibition above the shop. We look forward to one day being able to go inside the prison cells...More

Very good exhibition part through the shop. Great sense of the history before walking around the grounds. A lot of steps to the top of the keep but the view was worth it.

Worth a visit. The outside walls are fairly intact and there is access to the top of the tower with great views over the town and river.
