Close to the main road this was a good place to meet up with friends to walk around the area. As NT places go it's not huge or terribly sophisticated: there's a delightful outside sitting area to the cafe, the usual shop, and of course...More

Our second visit, and another enjoyable one. Our 2 year old loved doing the trail spotting things around the grounds. Very friendly staff, especially the Scotsman in the car park!

We're so pleased your toddler enjoyed the children's trail. We also have a 'Stolen' trail in the house for children who are a little bit older. We hope you'll give it a try on a future visit.

Visited by chance as we needed to break our journey. An autumn event was being held with apple pressing and 'spiralising' for kids. Tents with craft skills and book stalls. Nice tea room and gardens good for adults and kids with garden dominoes and other...More

We've visited this lovely garden before and enjoyed its beautiful setting. Also a nice tearoom with plenty of outside seating and a nice shop. I really have to commend the great car park attendants though. There were problems due to the wet ground and they...More

Most of the NT properties have impressive architecture or a history of housing powerful, influential people. Canons Ashby has neither but the Trust has been very creative with telling a good story around the property which is very enthusiastically communicated by the friendly and knowledgeable...More

You are most welcome to visit the tea room without having to pay for entry to the house. On Saturday we open at 10.30 and our favourite treat is the heavenly cheese scone and butter. Enjoy your visit.
