This secondhand bookshop is located in a former railway station in Alnwick and is absolutely vast. The range of books on display is very impressive, ranging from collectable first editions right through to the latest paperback releases. A model railway runs over the top of the many bookshelves. There is a nice café offering a good selection of snacks, and... More

If you love books, this is the place for you! Lots and lots of books, places to sit and enjoy, a little cafe and also a seating area with drinks, biscuits and an honesty box. The children's area was great, bought two books for my little boy, lots to choose from. The train track that runs through the shelves is... More

An old railway station is an unusual but fascinating backdrop for a second hand bookshop. Once inside it is difficult to know where to start as the choice of books is so vast. It is probably best to go with something definite in mind or better still go with some old books you want to barter for some newer or... More

Bibliophiles must visit this place! An old railway station converted to a second-hand bookshop. There's a small cafe serving lovely food and a couple of cosy corners where you can relax and have coffee.

I went here for a full day out with my Mum for my birthday. We got the train up and the plan was to spend the day browsing, eating cake, and drinking tea. The books and tea were prefect! The shop is lovely, with plenty of books for all interests. Lovely open fires and plenty of places to chill out... More

Popped in on recommendation from a friend and came out 4 hours later! My husband and I spent ages browsing all the books, sitting round flicking through them over a coffee sat on some of the various sofas around the place before leaving with 2 carrier bags full of books that cost us less than £20! Enjoyed a light lunch... More

This wasn't our first review but I felt I needed to say something. FANTASTIC! Thousands of pre-loved books to suit everyone from baby to pensioner. The only issue is the parking which is limited on site but there is plenty I the vicinity. A great cafe too, and lots of areas where you can have a quick read before you... More
