Along with other great sandy beaches in this part of the country, this a beautiful clean sandy beach. It stretches all the way to Bamburgh, with only a small rocky outcrop to break it along the way. This means a welcome change of pace if...More

Wonderful beach with great sweeping views across the sea. Beautiful sand dunes lots of space and great rock pools. The beach is accessible but you might need some help if you have a buggy with you! Stunning views of Bamburgh castle

It may be a bit of a hike from the car, but it is well worth the effort. The sand is clean, the sea is blue (well, when the sun is shining!) and rolling. For some reason the wind is always blowing, even it if...More

St Aiden beach is stunning. Sandy dunes that go in for literally miles with a castle in the background. We walked a 4mile circular to Budle bay and back through the fields and the views were stunning. A must visit if you're in the area.

Stunning beach backed by sand dunes and the castle. Miles of empty white sand, loads of space to play cricket, fly kites etc. Will return!

I did not see any evidence of BBQ. I would consult Northumberland Council to get an opinion.

Hi Michael The access to the beach is not good for a wheelchair. There is a boardwalk for part of the way from the green but petters out once you reach the dunes. Hope you enjoy your visit and your son does too.
