A simply stunning location. Beautiful, deserted beach - fantastic views to Bamburgh and Holy Island and wonderful seals and birds. It was truly magical ....

The beauty of this beach is that you have to hike across a field to get to it and the effort is well worth it. Very few people, if any at all will you meet. You can walk towards Bamburgh Castle one way ot Lindisfarne the other. Take your pick and enjoy the isolation.

Off the beaten track down a cul de sac, sign posted. Parking limited on the verge of the tiny track. A 30 minute or so leisurely walk across farmland to the beach. Very muddy and covered in farm muck on a wet February day. Wellies probably recommended. Huge expanse of sand with views of Bamburgh at one end to Lindisfarne... More

The beach here is huge, there were loads of people out walking on it in the shadow of the castle, many with dogs others just couples or family, but no one got in each others way as it is so wide, our dog liked checking out the different tracks made in the dunes, he had a great time here

Quite a long walk through the dunes but well worth it . Even if there are a dozen cars parked you will find you will feel as though you have the place to yourselves. There are no amenities apart from sea and sand. Walk to the south and Bamburgh castle comes closer. Also Budle bay is at the south end... More

No Cafes, you won't meet new friends because it is usually a deserted beach, the kids won't have anyone to play with, there is golden sand and it gets everywhere, miles of it. Those seals look cuddly but are vicious. The beach is 20 minutes from the lay by (grass verge) that they force you to park in. Did I... More

Spectacular sea views and lovely for walking. Watching the waves change with the weather is great here. You'll want to come back.

Unspoilt beach and views as far as the eye can see in both directions. Nestled in between Bamburgh and Lindesfarm castles. A great walk certainly blows the cobwebs away on a Sunday morning. A stunning place with Sand dunes as the backdrop and the crashing North Sea in front. Tide goes out a long way so masses of sandy beach... More
