Enjoyable walk through the wood and gardens at Hodsock. Plen ty of snowdrops with so many varieties. Also cyclamen, crocus and the odd daffodil near the lake and house. A fair weather trip. The cafe was adequate, but the sandwiches were limited and they had crusts cut off which made them rather small and what a waste of bread! Good... More

Wow! I've had a fantastic walk around the garden and woodland area of Hodsock Priory- the snowdrops were lovely! The gardens are beautiful on a bleak wintery day so I can't imagine how they will look on a lovely summers day. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly- highly recommended!

Came for a group visit with my U3A group. From our arrival in the car park to departing everything was expertly organised. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We were led straight into the VIP area of the marquee where we were soon served with quality coffee. This area was warm and our group could return to it at... More

A lovely relaxing couple of hours away from the hustle and bustle of life and especially in February when there can be little to do. Snowdrops and other plants spread across vintage style gardens and the location makes you relax as you meander on the finer detail - be it snowdrops/architecture/gardens etc, and of course there is an excellent refreshment... Went with my mum for the snowdrop walk. Such a beautiful place, with a love walk around the peaceful gardens admiring s variety of snowflakes, daffodils, cyclamen and more in their natural environment. Likewise on the woodland walk as well as the smell of the warm cosy fire burning. Staff were helpful, friendly and cheerful as we went around and... More

Earlier this week we visited Hodsock Priory to see the snowdrops. It was interesting to see many other winter flowering shrubs and flowers besides snowdrops. There's a marquee which houses the cafe, ornamental goods and the obligatory plant sales. It was an enjoyable morning.

My wife and I have not visited the annual snowdrop display at Hodsock for several years and decided to go again. Not a lot has changed since our last visit, although there is now a large marquee with shop and restaurant. All the staff were very friendly. There are not only snowdrops on show but several other flowering plants, including... More

We arrived at Hodsock expecting to spend an hour or two enjoying and photographing snowdrops and left five hours later with hundreds of photos and video to sort through. Hodsock is much more than just snowdrops, there are many more spring bulbs and shrubs to be enjoyed in the garden areas. For a private garden opened to the public so... More

Wonderful! Such a lovely walk around the gardens and the woodland walk. I came with a friend from my photography course and we were having a good play around with our cameras and settings in such beautiful surroundings. We had a coffee and a tea from the lovely ladies in the woods and had a warm near the log fire.... More

Sadly the Snowdrop display wasn't quite a blooming - obviously a personal error! - really lovely grounds and the Priory is photogenic, but leave it a little later into the year for best results, as I'm sure many already know! Staff uber helpful and chatty, lots of food options - though not tested as our stay didn't wasn't long enough!
