We called in when passing by for a quick visit we had no idea how big it was, a quick visit became several hours. There is so much to see, we really enjoyed our visit. Lots to do and see for kids. Really was a fun day out.

    Amazing fantastic birds and animals.
Was lovely to see such beautiful birds with such characters. The park does need more visitors to sustain looking after these gorgeous birds. You can see there is rescue birds within the parrot cage and will need our help to keep them fed and safe. I will be back soon as I really enjoyed laughing and talking with the parrots and cockatiels. Thanks for having us!!

    Great value for money
Birdworld is worth every penny, if you walk around try to read some off the signs looking for some off the smaller birds you can spend al day here. I like the fact the grounds are keeped to a great standard, the birds have large enclosers and are well looked after. We have been four years running in school holidays and kids and adults have loved it....especially Henry the cockatoo who says "hello and goodbye" bobs his head if you do first...lots off laughs. Good for prams and wheelchairs.

    Getting a bit Tired Now
Went here about 5 years ago and decided to go back. It’s getting tired now, cages seem very small indeed for some of the wildlife, it’s all worn or wearing out. It used to be good for about 4-5 hours but I would say 2-3 and it’s done. Needs some money spent which I guess maybe the problem but tired and worn would be a good summary.

    100% would recommend
Absolutely fantastic place to visit, well kept, clean, in great condition and healthy birds and animals. Plenty of amazing species of birds and good enclosures. The food was amazing, i thought it sounded pricey but after the food arrived and was tasted, i was very impressed with the quality. The day was a 5* day and definitely will be going back.

    Excellent day out
We've just had a wonderful trip to Birdworld with our 3 grandchildren aged 4 and 5. There is so much to keep them entertained and the area isn't too huge that they all managed to go round on foot without any issues :) There's a fantastic playground that they loved and plenty of birds and animals to see en route. We enjoyed the regular talks and feeding sessions. The penguins and pelicans were brilliant! Undercover picnic area and plenty of loos! We'll definitely be back :)

    Not cheap, but worth it
This collection of rare birds is well worth a visit, but it is not that cheap. It covers a large area and includes a play area for children, a small farm and a café. One gets the impression that some of the birds are held in rather small enclosures with very little space to fly about. There will be some birds hiding in foliage or a small birdhouse inside the enclosure, but with a bit of patience over two hour I saw and photographed over seventy different species.

Great place to visit with kids! But plenty of adults visit without kids
This is a really lovely place to take kids. The Annual pass is well worth it, and I take my 2 & 1/2 year old granddaughter about once a month. She loves watching them feeding the penguins, the pelicans and the Farm animals. We also enjoy the talks especially the owl talk. I’ve given it 4/5 because it’s a bit worn (I believe they’re going to revamp it soon), and I’d probably give the restaurant 1/5 (I believe they’re revamping the menu), but the restaurant staff, I’d give 4/5

    A bit disappointed
As bird lovers and not visited for many years my daughter kept talking about visiting. We went today with a couple of her friends They only had the cafe open which is at the entrance/exit. There was nowhere to get a hot drink any where else The birds were lovely and some very entertaining. With it being quite cold a few seemed to be shivering with cold We seemed to have seen it all in 2 hours and that was without rushing I k ow it is mid week but I heard quite a few people complaining about not having anywhere to get any sort of refeshments

Disappointed, run down and very expensive. Disgusted at having to pay over £15 for a three year old and apart from the staff member who did the talks around the park, the staff were not very friendly.

Lots of birds and things to look at. Not really enough for a full day out but a good trip none the less! Lots of staff talks through the day too which were good.

Have wanted to come here for ages and it didn’t disappoint.
Loads of wonderful birds. Some are caged but lots aren’t and are flying about in the large netted areas.
A great shop and cafe too.

Birds were wonderful; lots of different species. Playgrounds were brilliant for my 4 and 7 year olds. Enough to keep them entertained at each point.

The penguin walk through wasn’t clear at the exit that it was the exit; until you go in the exit door and start walking through and there are one way signs. Especially when going inside on way back from farm. It’s even got an exit arrow pointing towards the entrance and it’s only when you get right to the door of entrance it says entrance. Needs the sign on both sides. Pelicans were awesome!

First bird I enquired about to member of staff walking into the old flamingo enclosure; who had a bird world jumper on; I asked what it was; he had no clue and tried then to find another keeper.

Reason for 3 stars only was the cost of the food and drink inside; and the gift shop!!!Extortionate! £2.50 for a can of Fanta! £2.75 for a calippo ice lolly! £1.75 for a small carton of children’s milkshake. £10.25 for a cheese panini and chips!!! £19.99 for the smallest gruffalo soft toy!! £2.00 for a pencil!!! And £1 for a sheet of colouring in paper!! It’s unbelievable! I was so shocked!!! And felt like customers are being taken advantage of! The only plus was lots of under cover picnic areas so wish I’d packed some sandwiches!

What a run down, poor quality zoo. Half the exhibits were closed for renovation, the other half were built in the 70's with no thought for giving the animals any space or variety on life. There's 2 enclosures you can walk through with entrances at both ends, but once you are in it says one way. The farm is a poor add on with some very sad looking goats.

This is not a zoo I would recommend or ever bother to visit ever again. £20 each to enter, took a family of 4 around 2 hours to get round, including eating lunch and playing on the poorly maintained and designed play park. This place has really gone down hill. There is no details before you enter that large parts of the park are closed or being renovated, and poor way markers to suggest a route round. I would not hesitate to tell others to avoid.

Bank Holiday family trip. Birds were in fine voice, especially the parrots 😂 Staff on hand were amazing when interacting with Children if they were being asked a specific question or just happen to be passing by

General Park seemed very rundown and in need of some TLC, no petting area anymore, aquarium is closed down and can no longer feed the chickens etc. Not sure if we picked a bad day but there was nothing on at all, a real shame sadly won't be visiting again not worth the money at all.
