Had a lovely few days in Kingston Upon Thames. Shopping is excellent, restaurants are many with good choice, plenty of places to visit both in Kingston and surrounding areas. Transport links excellent and lovely river walks and beautiful historic buildings. Market area brilliant. Will return again.

A better place to visit is the Walton ferry wharf or Walton Marina. The Gino cafe there serves acceptable quality of food and cafe

You have seen the Thames in all its moods flowing past the Big Ben in London. Nothing impressive. If you want to see this river, clean and picturesque, you must head for Kingston and give yourself a long walk along the Quay. The swans in the river are the first attraction which draws your eyes. The river traffic is slow... More

Great riverside location for walking, cycling or getting away from the hubbub of the city and suburban life. Walk from Hampton Court to Kingston then along to Teddington or Teddington Lock or through to Richmond. Lovely!

Surburban shopping centre with loads of variety. Some nice pubs on the river and a historical marker where ancient saxon kings were crowned. Thus Kings Town = Kingston.
