Few hours here as we had Groupon voucher with free cuppa. Lovely garden, lots of shrubs and trees. Very eclectic. Good to see shrubs etc not in a row.

My girlfriend saw a deal on Groupon for tickets to walk around the garden and a pot of tea for two for £7. We had nothing to do and it was a nice sunny afternoon and we had never been there before so thought we would try it out although not something we had ever done before or thought we... More

the gardens are lovely, and the cafe is great. Worthwhile reserving a table during the summer months as it very popular with locals as well as visitors

This is the second time I have visited the gardens. I felt disappointed at the lack of maintenance of the garden . The plants were interesting and it is very peaceful but the ponds were dirty and poorly kept. The ornaments were also very dirty and in need of replacement. I enjoyed seeing the peacocks and their babies and the... More

These gardens are pretty but small and probably ideal for a person who enjoys sitting in gardens and enjoying the tranquillity they offer, rather than someone who enjoys walking around them. It probably takes less than an hour to complete the gardens and at the cost of £4.95 entry I found this to be expensive for what they are. There... More

The gardens have seen better days and the traffic noise is intrusive so if you are looking for pristine flower beds don't bother paying the £4.95 entrance fee. The cakes however are something special. The cafe/restaurant is full of character and you don't have to pay to gain access. There's a cosy sofa area, a large light and spacious conservatory... More

The Denmans Gardens is just a beautiful, tranquil place to go to, look around, sit on the many seats provided and reflect. Its not the biggest of gardens but obviously a lot of care and attention has gone in to creating a little bit of English old fashioned garden. If they hired it out it would be the perfect place... This is a lovely garden, with areas which will inspire any gardener who is looking for ideas. We visited in October, so some plants were on the wane, but the design of the garden is such that there will be many items of interest throughout the year, I am sure. A particular attraction is the tearoom, or restaurant really, which... More

I didn't even go in the garden but the above comment was heard from some people I was meeting in the cafe. It was the cafe that left me with the poor impression......... probably the most expensive coffee in the UK - it would make even London restaurants blush. Won't be going again.

This beautiful garden is inspiring. Only one word came to mind; tranquility. Some interesting species I did not know, along with some excellent examples of old favourites. Laid out using shingle to afford access into planting areas. Will certainly come back again to see other seasons. Highlight for me was the greenhouse.
