If you know you'll go more than once and you don't have a national trust membership then get the yearly pass. You only have to visit twice and you made your money back. You can explore the whole place in one visit and will take about 3 hours which is actually really nice. Depends how much walking the kids want... More

Beautiful garden any time of year. I attended in March, and was amazed at the scents from the Daphne bholua as I walked through the Himalayan glade. The colours from the Magnolia, Camelia and Rhododendrons were incredible, armed with my camera, I was in heaven, snapping away at every turn. I was surprised that it seemed so quiet, but happy... I am lucky enough to live locally so get to walk the gardens throughout the year. There is always something different to see. The walled garden has to be my favourite.

Wakehurst is good all year, a lovely place to walk. Trees, flowers, ponds, birds, ducks and fantastic views from several points. Activities for the children. You have to pay to park, get a years subscription to Kew for £25, park free, work every penny. I go most weeks.

Lovely breathtaking views, so many shrubs, trees, plants etc. a truly rainbow of colours. Visited early March the weather was dry but chilly. Enjoyed the many paths and glens to walk along. Some areas can be a bit of a hard walk uphill so make sure you can manage slopes etc, take comfy shoes and try to visit on a... More

We live nearby and are able to enjoy the gardens in different seasons. The great thing is the variety of walks to suit different moods. A stop off in the tea shop is obligatory!

This is a beautiful place and i don't pay for parking as i pay yearly for the friends of wakehurst benefit. This has been well worth the money as I take my two sons who also don't pay due to their age. They love the wooded adventure course and we normally don't make it round to the gardens. On this... I took my father for his 79th birthday to this lovely garden. Lovely walks, beautiful snowdrops and crocuses. Super cafe and a reasonably good lunch. My father enjoyed his fish and chips and my vegetable crumble was average. However, I have to say that I was OUTRAGED by the car park cost. We ambled and had a lovely time and... More

As an NT member we had visited previously, the next time we went in and got as far as the shop before we realised we had to pay to park, probably as much as £10. The staff were very abrupt and rude when I queried it as a NT member , then we had to rush to the car as... More
