We spent an interesting morning here, having recently joined the RSPB, walking the two mile nature trail, spotting birds from the hides, and enjoying looking around the shop and watching birds on the feeders from the cafe whilst having coffe and cake. All the year round there are a variety birds and animals to spot in the hedgerows and on... More

The reserve has a lovely circular walk through woodland and heath and overlooking wetlands. We enjoyed the walk itself which was largely very peaceful and easy. There were motorised carts available for those with walking difficulties, but no steps, just slopes. Looking across the wetlands, it was really necessary to have binoculars or a telescope to appreciate the birds. There's... More

Went for a day birding with local RSPB group. Started with a coffee in the excellent cafe, then a couple of hours birding. Back to cafe for another hot drink and our lunch then another good walk some good birds seen. A last hot drink before our coach journey home. Paths are easy to manage, good hides to use and... More

Visited for the first time on a squally day but will be back very soon. Lots to see and do. Paths are made to be accessible to people with mobility difficulties. There are buggies to hire. lots of benches to sit and be still. We're learning all the time about birds and enjoy listening to knowledgeable people about what we... More

There's a cracking little play area out the back too for the little ones, a good place to come and get some fresh air for a couple of hours. Made the mistake of visit the cafe once though.... not recommended!!! Took us literally 30... More

This is a lovely, peaceful and wonderful place. We have been three times in the last fortnight and cannot wait to return even though we live some distance away. We are both over 70 but find the paths well maintained and all areas readily accessible. It is worth walking the half mile or so to reach the well positioned hides... More

Excellent dry pathways, viewing platforms and advice available from RSPB volunteers. Even a small cafe to finish with some light refreshment and open views.
