What a great facility to have a wander and look at things from days gone by. Had a good laugh remembering things we used to have. Totally forgot about my first ever hairdryer. Very interesting to see about the disaster that occurred there as well,...More

Although the mine gets a lot of space, it is after all built on the site of the gold mine, there is also lots of stuff about the olden days in Beaconsfield.

The main interest here is obviously the mine collapse . It is a sobering place. To read about what happened and the rescue efforts was very touching as it was to read about the guy that perished . It is well worth the visit .

This is a very interesting interactive attraction, well worth visiting. Reading and seeing the story behind the mine rescue all those years ago was worth the visit alone.
