Worth stopping and having a look at the breathtaking views. The stairs at Truganini lookout are easy to climb and at the top you get great views of the Neck. Down the bottom, a penguin colony lives and if you are lucky or come at sunset you may catch a glimpse of them in their natural habitat.

Amazing view after climbing over 150 stairs. Calm and peaceful. A place to see ferry penguins between dusk and dawn.

A few steps to climb but so worth the view. Raw natural beauty, 360 degree picturesque scenery. A great view of the little part of land connecting north and south Bruny. A must do.

A short way onto the neck and you will find a little carpark and a lot of steps. Take the time to read the information on the Penguins and Shearwaters as well as the heart wrenching story of Truganini. The steep but easy walk to the top gives you anazing views of the neck, north and south islands of Bruny.... More

It really is a stunning view from the top of those steps, with some bushes providing a windbreak at the top with a couple of wooden benches. The steps are very exposed and subject to high winds: you really do need that railing. At least I did on my climb up and down. There is also a boardwalk over the... More

Beautiful part of the world and great views all around. We did not see penguins on our visit but was still well worth the stop. The beach is also beautiful and nice to walk up and down.

It was really windy and quite a hard climb up because of it, however, the climb was well worth it as the view were excellent like the photos I took. A tip is to either not bring a hat and wear sunscreen or hold on really tightly on your hat

It's worth the climb to the top of the steps because the view is spectacular! On either side of the steps are penguin burrows and it you are there at the right time of year you will see penguins.

On a good sunny day you will have the best views from this lookout in the middle of the road between the two islands. There area lot of steps though so it is worth warming up your calves before trecking up.
