Fabulous sanctuary that gives hope to the wild life of Tasmania.
Dec 2021 • Couples
This was the best by far the animals had shiny coats the grounds were well maintained. The staff were so welcoming and the keeper was so informative they work hard taking care of the animals rearing them at their own homes through the night. The animals you get up close to Pat them (but wasn’t allowed to hold them.) Everyone visiting Tasmania that’s the destination to go to see bald eagles, white hawk, owls, kangaroos, quolls, echidnas, wild turkeys, Tasmanian devils and my personal favourite was the wombat baby and the bigger ones too.

Best place to see Tasmanian devils
Nov 2021
We arrived just after a tour had started, walked straight in the door and got to pat a baby Tassie devil! Brilliant. The staff were really helpful and accommodating to visitors even thought I am sure they have loads of work to do. We saw quolls, wombats, kangaroos, many birds and the most Tasmanian devils I've ever seen. If you want to see these wonderful creatures this is the place. Thanks for the conservation work you do.

This has been the highlight of my trip!
Thank you so much for looking after these animals.
Patting Tasmania Devils, and their babies, blew my wildest dreams, thank you so much.
Definitely worth the extra time to visit and see this place, it is small, but amazing!

Gorgeous sanctuary doing amazing work assisting our beautiful wildlife
Sep 2021
Trowunna is truly a special place doing fantastic work in not only looking after our wildlife, but also educating locals and visitors alike. The tour taken by Kenna was engaging, entertaining and informative, based on a wealth of experience. All the staff were super friendly and helpful and took time out of their busy day to interact with guests. The best part of Trowunna for us though was how wonderfully well the critters are looked after. The enclosures are beautifully maintained and appropriate for each species. The critters themselves are in wonderful, healthy condition and look as happy to be there as we were. The entry price is more than fair & it is worth paying the extra $2 to feed the very friendly kangas. The shop also is well-stocked with competitively priced, good quality goodies. We highly recommend a visit to Trowunna - we spent over 4 hours in this beautiful setting, but even if you are poorer in time than us, you will love your time there and the support you give by visiting goes directly into assisting wildlife.

Excellent Santuary
Dec 2020
A well presented wildlife sanctuary that puts the animals first. It is well worth getting a feed bag to keep all the kangaroos happy as you move about the sanctuary!

A great sanctuary well worth your support
Sep 2021
A brilliant sanctuary with dedicated staff. The animals are in great condition and are clearly very well cared for.

The session with keeper Ned, who spent time with us explaining the lives and challenges faced by wombats and devils, was a real highlight and one of the best sessions of this type we've ever had. His knowledge and passion for the protection of these creatures was both impressive and inspiring.

Wildlife at its best
Sep 2021
Best thing - without a doubt, it's meeting the Tassie Devils up close and personal. They're amazingly cute. The park is very relaxed - there's a mob of kangaroos around and lots of bird life. You can buy feed from the shop that'll feed all of the animals. Kangaroos eat out of your hand. Lots of joey's around. Quolls are beautiful and wombats, potoroos, wedge tailed eagles. The gift shop is excellent - very good products. The tour was excellent, the guide extremely well informed.
Overall a great day out and the surrounding scenery is fabulous.

Sensational...

Visiting Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary was a lovely day out and as a non-Tasmania it was SO GREAT to see so many healthy Tassie Devils (and their offspring!)... The spotted quolls, too, are fab and such a great and informative chat from one of the lovely keepers.

Amazing
May 2021
If you heading either to or from Devonport head to Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary at Mole Creek. This place is fabulous & the best place to see Tasie Devils up close, along with wombats, quolls & other native wildlife. If you are there in time for the walk & talk, don't miss it, so informative & interesting.
I would rate this 10 stars if I could. Thank you so much for a fabulous animal experience

Fab experience at Trowunna
May 2021 • Solo
I visited in early June and loved my time here. I didn’t even know they existed until I saw them on TV earlier in 2021.

All the enclosures were clean and wildlife all happy in their homes.

I also did the 11am keepers talk, our host Mike I think, was very helpful with everyone’s questions.

Keep up the good work team
