We were travelling back to Bicheno from Hobart and stopped to see the Mill! The history is amazing, it is a well preserved small town and the working Windmill is a pleasant site. Well worth the side trip.

The history of this place is interesting. When we visited during our holidays, the miller was on holidays and we did not get the unique experience of seeing the mill in action and the windmills turning during our guided tour, which explained the features of...More

Love Oatlands and this mill is amazing. Fully restored and used again. Plenty of history and I had holidays in Oatlands over 50 years ago. Worth a visit for sure. Got some great photos.

A mill that has been restored to its former glory, buildings and outhouses around it too have been lovingly restored too. Plenty of history to be seen and enjoyed, feeling of stepping back in time. Got some great photos.

As a collector of windmills I couldn't miss out this impressive one, which must be the most Southerly in the world?. Didn't take a tour, but it was working on the day we visited. Oatlands itself is also worth a wander.
