Not impressive. It’s just a pit stop to take for 5 mins stretch from long driving - from Port Arthur to Swansea and then to Freycinet.

Worth a stop to see this special bridge and read the story linked to it on the information board on site. On the Tasman Highway just south of Swansea. Another part of the convict story but not a prison.

A bridge with history. It has pointy sharp metal on each side of the bridge. It’s along the Tasman Highway with good signage. If you come from Swansea you will pass Spiky beach before Spiky bridge. Both place worth a stop

This is the second time I've stopped at Spiky Bridge and not disappointed. The kids loved it to run around and under. I loved it for the pure engineering and build process. The information board could do with an update and it also doesn't explain...More

This unusual bridge is well worth stopping for and is on the main East Coast tourist route. It is a pity that the surrounds are so poorly maintained. It could be a lovely picnic spot.

I've not seen anything like this and I've travelled a lot. Fun bridge to stop and take some photos as it's so unusual and it's convict built.

Interesting but not worth a drive just to see this. If it's on the way, yes, recommended to drop by and see the spiky bridge

Ye olde bridge, you can drive right up and read all about and don't even need to get out of the car.

A short stop on the highway into Swansea. Interesting bridge, does what it says on the box, ie. it is spiky. It'd be interesting to know the reason behind building the bridge this way. Well worth the quick photo op.

It is amazing to see this bridge that was built back in the early 19th Century is still in tack and available for tourists to visit
