Cute stop off

Unusual little bridge!! Worth the stop if only to stretch the legs - good information board so you get a bit of background - interesting!!

This little old bridge is no longer in use. But you can view it from the car park provided from the newer road. And a short walk is available. A nice ten minute break in the drive up the coast.

Unique bridge in the middle of no where! Can't miss it as you leave Swansea and head to Hobart. Very unusual, definitely stop for a pic! Read the history panel, very interesting.

Spikey Bridge is not well marked but certainly worth the stop. It takes all of 20 minutes. Handy hint. . . drive over the bridge, it's a bit of a goat trail but you'll still come back out on the highway.

Its worth a short stop if you are driving past. A very interesting and unusual construction with an equally interesting history.

There is such a lot to the history of Tasmania and this is just a little treasure. Fascinating to see and learn how and when it was built.

Almost by the side of the road it would be easy to pass by. Also make sure you turn into the car park for the bridge and not the beach on the other side of the road. This is an important piece of convict history and if you're doing a convict trail, should be included. Information panels tell you the... More
