First and foremost, to fully appreciate this important site, you need to take a tour. However, even though tours are listed on the website, when we visited on a Friday--Friday!--none were available. This was really upsetting, as we knew we were seeing things extremely significant,...More

A great place to visit. Take a picnic with you as there are lots of tables to eat on. The inside of the circle will take you back in time, at least a place like this does that to me. There are a lot of...More

Native Americans built this in ancient times as an astronomical device. The circle is quite large and takes up a lot of space in the town. Go on a nice day to see and take a walk.

The Great Circle and the Works museum are one of the few indicators left from what historians believe are the first civilization from the US - the Missippians, Hopewells, or collectively the Mound Builders. Awe sweeps over you as you stand within the circle of...More

Would recommend having a guide point out the interesting features of this historical landmark. Very peaceful, very well maintained.

In addition to the mounds and informative signs, this park was home to some of the most beautiful trees I've seen in the Midwest
