We were looking for a good nature walk close to the city. We found it at Cox! Three well-marked trails to choose from, and a nice relaxing walk. A wonderful time to observe some of God's creation inside the city!

Wonderful park with lots to see and do. The kids loved the turtles and the kiddy maze. The plants are beautiful. If there was more rain, it would be even more beautiful. The tower is closed because of the COVID, but that would be a neat thing to see especially at that height.

Cox Arboretum is part of the Dayton 5 Rivers Metro Parks. This park is a well-crafted setting with a Visitors and Learning Center with many different gardens throughout, several hiking paths, a Tree Tower and Butterfly House. The view from the tree tower is spectacular. This is a gem in the Gem City. Quit passing it by and check it out. Many fun things for the kids to do.

The Arboretum is open year round. Plants and flowers, turtles, koi and frogs abound, while birds find the openness and many tree species attractive for eating, nesting and roosting. Paths are well maintained and with care can be used by those in wheelchairs. People of all ages wander the large area, shade is easily obtained, water gurgles into ponds. If you are fortunate the butterfly house may be busy!
