Beautiful. In an area with a lot of beautiful parks this one really sticks out. They have a few viewable birds that are residence that look comfortable in their enclosures. The birds just look at peace. They offer trails to walk around and it's absolutely stunning. We went during the fall months and the leaves were changing.

Nice little place to visit on a beautiful day. No admission fee to get in but donations greatly appreciated. They have two Bald Eagles...gorgeous! Love the talking crow! The grounds are neatly kept and workers are very protective of the animals and offer information about them during your visit.

Family visit on the 11th February with a valentine theme, winter is the breeding season for owls. The family had a great time seeing the owls up close and participating in arts and crafts and owl calling competition. The staff were very friendly and informative. The sanctuary is well worth visiting if you are in the area.

The birds definitely have a routine and seem to be treated absolutely great, they have a section of the sanctuary where you can walk in and have the birds fly to you and you can feed them if you pay .25 cents at the office area. Be careful with the blue birds though, hold those feeding cups tight because they... More

Great sanctuary for wild birds hurt or imprinted on humans. Great staff and funny orange cat who has been tamed by the chickens!!! He loves to sit on your lap when you sit on one of the benches! Great place for a picnic and to feed the small birds in the enclosed aviary. Close up of bald eagles, different owls... More

We had nice time here. It doesn't take too long to go through the exhibits, but the birds seem calm and well cared for in clean enclosures with natural plants growing inside. The chicken greeter in the office made us laugh, and the lazy cat outside expressed everyone's desire to just take it easy on a warm afternoon. The birds... More

This place is EXCELLENT for nature lovers! My family stopped here while passing through the area since my son is a bird enthusiast we knew we had to stop, I'm so glad we did. First of all, the staff was wonderful! They went above and beyond when they found out my son loves birds. They made him feel right at... More

Viewing the birds took about 15 minutes. We spent about 45 minutes on the trails--the trails are nice (but buggy). Wear bug spray and avoid flip flops--there are some muddy areas. While hiking we saw a deer and her fawns which the kids thought was awesome.

The bird sanctuary has a variety of birds that have been injured and nursed back to health or rescued. There are several large birds in separate cages, including owls, vultures and eagles. You can purchase small cups of bird feed and go into a large cage that has many free flying small birds. There are a few blue jays that... More
