In the last two years the state his pound considerable funds into Marblehead lighthouse Park. Great place to have a picnic the lighthouse is open and what a great view from the top. The life saving station reconstruction is extremely informative.

We truly enjoyed our visit to the lighthouse. Though we missed the tour (ends at 4PM), we really liked the grounds and foot access to the lake. Took our dog, as well. Fun family spot for a brief visit or bring a picnic.

The lighthouse at Marblehead is situated on a beautiful stretch of Lake Erie, framed by large flat boulders. The park is well maintained with several picnic areas and free museums. The Light House has a tour with minimal charge. A family-friendly location.

Did not enter the lighthouse or residence museum. Spent the entire visit enjoying the view and allowing Lake Erie to lap at our feet. Picturesque.

Take some time to visit the Marblehead Lighthouse, pack a picnic, just sit and relax! Scenic location on Lake Erie looking out over the Sandusky Bay with Cedar Point across the way.

I am new to the Great Lakes so I cannot help with your route. However, I can tell you that the Marblehead Lighthouse is worth seeing. There are also other attractions close by that wouldn't take up a lot of time but also... More
