This park is literally infested with deer! We saw so many we lost count. We even got to see one cross over to an island. The people didn't bother them and they didn't bother the people. They were probably smart not to wander too far away from a protected area during hunting season. There were a lot of people walking... More

Several walking trails will take you to different areas of interest. Walk along the Miami and Erie canal, walk out to Fallen Timbets battlefield, or stroll along the Maumee river. Lots of wildlife to see. A nice picnic place and a great playground for kids. Also see 3 remaining canal locks.

Beautiful landscape, lots of interesting things to look at a perfect place for a hike. Took both dogs there and was able to get through a good 3+ mile walk. I love the water falls and features. Definitely worth the trip

The side cut Metropark is a great place for jogging and other outdoor activities. I haven't find a better one near Maumee. The facilities for barbecue or picnic look also good.

Love love love Sidecut Park! Lots of beautiful trails in fields, along River, & into woods. Loads of wildlife can be seen...deer, foxes, many many birds along River. Wonderful play area for kids & even a toddler play area.

Good metropark with trails and other outdoor pursuits you would expect of a metropark. They have historical canals and ties to the battle of fallen timbers. see Fallen Timbers National Battlefield Park.

My wife & I have been walking most days since she had open heart surgery in July. We were walking in our neighborhood but as she is able to walk several miles now, we wanted better scenery. We decided to walk at Side Cut Metropark. We were very pleased with the entire experience! The paths were very nice. For the... More

Following the flood of last year the park paved a new trail that now connects this park to the Fallen Timbers park. So walking, running or biking you can go from Fort Meigs to Side Cut to Fallen Timbers without having to be on the road. And as Fallen Timbers connect to the Wabash Cannonball you have more than 30... More
