This is great for train lovers, but not great for just the average person looking for something fun to do. It is rather boring.

Our family reunion group of 20 enjoyed this train ride experience though it was loud and hot in the open train car! The clickety clack noise and the swaying of the train car lulled several of our older members into napping, similar to how we...More

There were things I liked and a whole lot that I didn't about this. It is not very scenic at all unless you consider run down rural homes and broken down cars scenic. The train did stop at an old company town and though you...More

If riding on a train is your thing then maybe you will enjoy this. However, the word "scenic" is literally in the title and this ride is anything but scenic, unless your definition is taking a tour thru Hocking Valley's most impoverished areas as well...More

If you just want to ride a train then this is nice if you're in the Hocking Hills area already. I wouldn't make a special trip just for this. If you're thinking of rolling along the rails through the forest, this is not the train...More

We lived here all our lives and never taken the train. We decided last Christmas to take our children and grandchildren and they loves the scenic view and the fact that Santa showed up and talked to each child

This train ride was your typical ride through the farm lands of Ohio. The staff was nice. I recommend getting the open-air car. You park right next to the train station.

We took the Summer Wine Express that benefits Stuart's Opera House. We paid extra for the VIP experience which included air conditioned seating and the commemorative wine glass. The other seating option was open air train cars. The train seats face another set which makes...More

If you've never ridden on a genuine passenger rail car, this is a nice way to experience it - in a clickety-clack relaxed atmosphere. If you feel the need for constant entertainment, this may not be the ride for you. I last rode a real...More
