Small quaint historic theatre. Been here a few times and I never get tired of it. It's a great venue. So much history to look at

Beautifully restored theater in downtown Newark hosts national and international acts. Downtown Newark is going through a revitalization and the Midland is a key part of the excitement bringing people back.

We had been receiving their emails and were intrigued enough to purchase tickets to the Martina McBride concert last Friday. This smaller venue was built in 1928 and seats 1800. There is a side room off the lobby with a bar selling beverages but only water can be taken to your seat. We sat on the right side of the... More

Nice old historical theatre, restored. They hold all kinds of events here. Gift shop. Free parking, right downtown. Many shops close. Highway access close. Reasonable prices. Theatre seating.

Beautifully restored theatre with great seating and wonderful acoustics. Perhaps the friendliest, most helpful staff of volunteers that you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. Just visiting with them before the show was every bit as enjoyable as the show itself.

This theater holds about 1,800 people. Seats are typically tight, since the facility was built around 100 years ago. The restoration- perfect. It is easy to get there, easy to leave, a few nice restaurants within a two minute walk to the hall. You will have a great night- check out the events coming up!

The Midland is a success story about how a community, with proper and passionate guidance and some significant financial supporters, can save a historic place. More importantly, once it was properly "rescued", the management and board have made sure that the place gets used by bringing in a variety of acts that people gladly buy tickets to see. This is... Recently attended the Lyle Lovett/Robert Earl Keen concert. The venue continues to impress as a great place to see live music The restoration is a work of art and this was the first show with the speakers suspended and no longer on the stage. Lyle even mentioned the beauty of the restoration! My only recommendation - if you are taller... More
