There is so much to see. Our favorite part was the large lion pride, the new baby polar bears and the aquarium. This is a great zoo. Make sure to wear your walking shoes and have a great time.

My wife & I thoroughly enjoyed the 5ish hours we spent exploring the zoo. For starters, one of the Polar Bear cubs was extremely entertaining, jumping in the pool, trying to catch one of the trout they have in there, playing with her toys, etc....More

While in Columbus we went to a free day event at the zoo and had a wonderful time. We were able to see the new polar bear babies and feed the giraffes. Great family fun.

We made a four hour drive to visit this zoo and it did not disappoint. The zoo opened, I believe at 9:00 AM and closed at 5:00 pm. It is well organized and grouped into different "regions". There is a lot of educational material and...More

What a super zoo. The open habitats that these animals have is amazing. You can see that the animals are well-cared for and are content. The giraffe exhibit is super and you can feed the giraffes at varied times during the day for a nominal...More

I know that children under 3 years old get free admission to the zoo. I called and asked if children under 3 also got free rides (pony ride, Jungle Jack's Landing, train, etc.). They said that children under 3 DO get free rides - you just have to tell the attendant of each ride they are under 3 years old. Can anyone verify this is actually the case?

I can confirm that for the carousel if you stand beside them to ride it requires one ticket. to ride a horse on the carousel they must be walking and have shoes on. I not sure about the other activities.

Yes. They are $35 and located just inside the main gate. You need a valid state handicap ID. Weight limit is 300 pounds. Battery life depends on the renters weight.
