Nestled on several acres of woods and beautifully landscaped grounds, Stonehenge Estate is an on-going family preservation project that has been a "must see" for island visitors over the last 25 years. Representing the small grape growing farms and family wineries that prospered on the island in the mid-late 1800's, Stonehenge self-guided audio tours include the stone farmhouse (circa 1870's), wine press cottage (circa 1850's), wine cellar and outdoor display area. Both buildings are listed in the National Register of Historic Places and give visitors a sense of island living from both yesterday and today. Also on site is the award winning Stonehenge Gift Shop, featuring many quality items handmade right here in the USA.

We wanted to tour this place every time we come to Put in Bay and we've been here on several occasions. It's never open. We think it's up for sale so you can't tour this attraction. Very disappointed and such a shame. Looks like a...More

This is definitely not worth the money. Only two rooms and two barns. Also, all of the attractions on Put-In-Bay close as of the first of October. Suggest you pick another location, from what we could see - none of the attractions are worth going...More

It's a nice little estate with old house and wine cellars and things kept in good condition. It's a 7$ audio tour which is pretty good and self explanatory. If you are into history must go.

Love visiting here, although not always open at the time. Great walking outside, discovering grounds. Very interesting history. We really missed seeing it last year, as it was closed for renovations.

I highly recommend this stop when you go to PIB. My 14 year old and really enjoyed the history of the estate and learning about PIB in the past.

Stopped here after reading the reviews, still not sure what the big deal was all about. Gift shop? there was odd items that were ridiculously priced and not practical items at all. the grounds were a joke, it seemed like just another tourist trap.

Lots of shade and a well preserved complex of buildings. A great afternoon diversion. Not too commercial, in comparison to other places on the island. A very interesting site, especially if you are interested in historical architecture.

If not, you will probably find it boring. The gift shop was nice, picked up a nice sail boat weather vane. Even if you don't take the house tour, the drive to it is nice in a golf cart, so at least check out the...More

If you like historical houses, you'll like Stonehenge Estate. A small entry fee allows you to take the self-guided tour (using a Walkman) and takes about 30 minutes. Be aware, however, that there are no public restrooms on the property.

The tour was self guided and we enjoyed looking in the old stone house. It was a pretty short tour maybe like 20 mins tops.
