Didn’t know there would be a bright green light flashing directly over the bed all night long. Asked about an eye mask from the sensory kit they offer on the website. They charge $150.00 and you can only buy the whole kit. Way to take advantage of people who already have plenty of disadvantages. I’ve put together everything else in that kit for under 20 bucks. I understand an up charge for convenience but that is ridiculous.

Serious safety incident
THE FRONT DESK SERIOUSLY ASKED ME TO STAND MAKED IN THEIR DRYING ROOM DO NOT GO HERE. Me and my husband went to the water park (60 dollars for this alone, keep that in mind) and half the water slides were closed when we first got there, no big deal at first, so we go onto the smaller water attractions. The employees keep eyeing me and my husband like we are perverts or something (there was nothing open but the wave pool and smaller slides 60 dollars...)
So after getting over the fact we paid full price for half a water park we went to the wave pool... where one of the life guards, a man with long curled hair, started shaking a hanging light over the side of the water, shaking the entire ELECTRIFIED FIXTURE OVER WATER and laughing with the other life guards... electrocution risk not on their minds.
The worst part though was the fact that they couldn't even keep the ONE that's right ONE clothes dryer in the changing rooms working so I went home soaking wet in the cold... I have hypothyroidism so it felt like knives in my skin walking their ridiculously large parking lot.
The """"""""""genius""""""""" at the front desk (a blond man that offered me quarters for the dryer) offered to let me stand naked in the dryer room... for however long it takes a dryer to do its thing instead of an agitator dryer like the ONE AND ONLY ONE dryer they had broken in the mens locker room. YOU CHARGED ME 60.oo $%^&ING DOLLARS AND YOU ARE SO F^&*NG CHEAP YOU ONLY HAVE ONE DRYER IN THE CHANGING ROOM AND ITS $%^&ING BROKEN???? WHAT THE ACTUAL F%^& IS THIS PLACE?

Beyond disappointed in our trip to kalahari.
Over half of the indoor park was closed. There were not a lot of guests so I anticipated being able to do a lot of activities. Staff was not helpful. A lot of money for next no nothing. Could have ha a better time at a basic hotel with a indoor pool. Most definitely will
Never return.

BED BUGS! My husband and I took our six-year-old daughter there for her birthday with our three other children. My oldest daughter slept on the sofa bed about 330 345 in the morning. She woke me up telling me she was getting bit by something in the bed I told her to get out of the bed, go straight to the bathroom don’t touch nothing and take a shower, however my husband went to check the bed and when he spray some disinfectant spray on the bed we saw bedbugs, jumping everywhere trying to get out of that bed. I grab what I could ran out there with my babies and checked out at about 4 430 in the morning I was told that I was going to get a full refund , I was told I would get a full refund but never got it and then they told me when they did inspection they didn’t see any bugs however, I know exactly what I saw the fact that they said they’ll give me a free refund and they didn’t said a lot about that place. They also gave my daughter cream to put on the bedbug bites as if they knew that they already had them and then the fact that they never gave me my refund I will never ever go to that place again do not take your family unless you want to come home with bedbugs or bedbug bites all over your body like my daughter has on hers. I believe that place is infested with bedbugs and they’re not doing nothing about and the staff are liars.

Very unsatisfied. I made a reservation weeks ago for a king size room with Jacuzzi they took a deposit and I get to the hotel to check in and THEY DONT have anymore JACUZZI ROOMS!!!!!! Sure they upgraded me but what do I need three beds and two regular bathrooms that I have at home ? The answer is I don't need that. What's the point of a reservation if they didn't save the room I paid for. I won't take my frustration out on staff but at the company I'm pissed.

First and LAST VACATION! Holes in my room, couldn’t hook my Roku up! Because it said no external devices. You have to have your ID with you in a bathing suit. If you get lost no worries there are no signs!!!! When you check in you can’t do it with a person, no no!!!! You must go to the kiosk i to figure out why you paid for the VIP even though you don’t get it! Just put your ID and the credit card you used to book the room 12 times before you can go.

This was our ninth trip to Kalahari-Sandusky, and it will most likely be our last. There were numerous mechanical problems with the water slides; this has been the case on each of our last three visits, one per summer. This appears to be a resort in decline. If you love water parks. go someplace else; Kalahari is a shadow of the magical place that it used to be.

If you want to just sit in a cabana (for an extra fee) and have expensive drinks, or sit by the brand-new outdoor pool, you might like Kalahari. The food here is pretty good, although it is exorbitantly expensive. If you want a high-energy water park adventure, though, this isn't the place anymore.

What an amazing place with amazing restaurants! The place was very clean with exception to a stain on our bedroom carpet. The arcade was fun, pools were clean, staff were friendly, 5 stars! I don't recommend leaving the resort, it has everything you need! The only downfall is their way overpriced alcoholic beverages. Bring your own!

Kalaharie is a nice hotel but very expensive. I used to go with my children when they were young but haven't been there in around 5 years and things have definitely changed. The money grab at this hotel is crazy. The waterpark is filled with Cabana's , leaving less room for people that don't want to rent them. The thing that bothered me the most was the towel situation. You now have to stand in line to get the towels and they will charge you 25.00 per towel if you don't stand in line again to return them. For 500.00 a night for a room, you would think that Kalaharie could afford towels for their guest.

We also wanted to rent a pay perview movie but the transaction wouldn't go thru and the front desk had no idea how to help us with it.

I was disappointed in Kalaharie this time around and I think it will be my last visit there.
