I would bet that there is a huge swath of people living in the Toledo area that have not visited our main library. Dang shame because this is a fantastic building. Both the new part and the existing building which was probably built in the...More

As other reviews say, this library doesn't only have an extensive collection. It's full of wonderful architecture and art. The entrance lobby is lined with spectacular glass murals (glass, of course, because this is Toledo); the glass is actually called Vitrolite, and display cases in...More

The Toledo public library and the Toledo Blade newspaper needs to be commended for their authors authors series. We heard Ron Chernow the author of Alexander Hamilton speak tonight. He did an outstanding job!

All branches of the TLCPL are worth visiting, and the main branch downtown offers a plethora of things to see and do. Kids activities, cooking classes, geneology research, local maps and history, and, oh, yeah, crack open a good book.

This place is huge. Filled with books and history. Our kids prefer this library over all of the others even the brand new ones. They get so excited when we go to this one. It is a magical place to them.

Spacious gorgeous building with multiple sections for various ages. I did not venture to all these resources, but they did seem vast.

The downtown library is by far extravagant. The roof top area offers wonderful views and peace from the busy life below.
