Not far from downtown Zanesville, Lock 10 may well be the easiest of the locks along the Muskingham River Park system to access. Never knew Mississippi River had lock and dams. Huge tugboat pushing six big barges went thru lock as we were approaching. Spectacular site!!! Great scenic stop as you enter Guttenberg!

Entrance to small state park is a sharp immediate right turn as soon as you exit the Y bridge eastbound. There is a parking lot with room for about a dozen cars and picnic tables. If you're already in the area or passing by it's worth it to just check it out. It's interesting and really big but not really worth making a special trip for unless you're into dams.

Lock and Dam #10 is a vintage double-chambered lock on the Muskingum Water Trail. Land access through alley at approx 800 Hughes. Locks are about one mile south of dam on diversion channel.
