Glad I made the time. Few glitches with videos but still worth the visit.

As I had a long day of riding/attractions ahead of me, I needed to reduce my visit to an hour or so. Being half way through my adventure, I had already visited several museums and – to be frank - was starting to experience a little ‘mother road attraction fatigue.’ Even with the tight timetable, the Interpretive Center was one... This place certainly makes a good entrance when it comes to luring tourists inside. It's a former Armory, built during the 1930s. They say the walls are 20 inches thick, so this place will be here for a while. The Oklahoma National Guard left it in 1971, so the decision was made some years later to turn it into the... More

Beautiful venue. Perfect for small or large wedding. They supply all the table and chairs as well as several items for décor. HUGE commercial kitchen has warmers and 2 large refrigerators. No Oven or cooktop but everything else you can imagine. WILL use this venue again

If you like to go back in time and see how things were this is the place for you, there are several small movie areas you can sit and watch or even lay down on a bed and watch, short movies usually 3-5 minutes long. We were fortunate enough to run into a craft show the weekend we were there.

The lovely lady who showed us round made this even more interesting. Good videos and displays. Great drill hall, all thoughtfully restored. Worth a stop

We went into this interpretive center, which was in an old armory building. They had different movies that you could watch regarding route 66. You could sit in old car seats, or lay on plastic beds, which was interesting because the screens were on the ceiling. It was a nice thing to do in the afternoon.

We called in but only visited the Gift Shop. We were looking for a Route 66 Calendar and, lo and behold, they had one. A great selection of Route 66 memorabilia such as caps, tee-shirts, post cards, mugs, etc.

Admission is $5.00 ok can deal with that. Great building it was a WPA building from the 30's. Center shows short movies. Great concept but lacking in substance.. A few of the tv,s did not work, finally found staff talking on phone. She pushed some buttons while still on phone , after 3times of bothering her she put a sign... More

The building is an eye catcher. It was not open when we drove by. Looks like it would be worth a stop.

Very rarely do I take the time to review places that disappoint me. For $5, I thought there was very little offered. The staff were very friendly and it is easy to see that a lot of effort has been put into making this a nice museum. But unless you are a route 66 groupie, it is not that engaging.
