There is a lot of open areas would be perfect for school trips or other group outings. Lots to see to look in each building would take at least a 1/2 day.

We just happened upon this Fort. We got there late no time to really enjoy it all, We do want to go back. We spoke with Sarah, she was very informative of it all. We will go back when we are in the area.
