Went for the first time yesterday with my Dad and two children. In short, it was awesome! From the gigantic "End of the Trail" sculpture that greets you at the entrance, to all the separate exhibits from different artists to historic firearms and classic western actors. Take your time and enjoy all this museum has to offer.

This was one of the most enjoyable museums we have been to. We could have spent more time than we did, and still not have been bored. There are Western paintings, sculptures, Indian artifacts, and so much more. One of the most moving works is a sculpture titled "The End of the Trail". It is incredible and very sad. There... More

Extensive collection of art, artifacts and memorabilia. Some of the exhibits were set up to be interactive (such as multiple pull-out vertical cabinets of various types of barb wire) or 'period' view (such as a walk-through western town of multiple buildings). Interesting sculptures and rotating art exhibits, some showcasing a re-creation of the artist studio. Our visit lasted nearly 2.5... More

I went with a couple of friends & all I can say is...WOW! There is a lot to see. One of my friends said there was a whole other building we didn't get to see as we ran out of time. We had a great time & would certainly visit again. Next time we will make sure to see the... More

Went with big family group - 6 grandkids. Ages ranging from 8 to 14. Used the services of a guide. Two hour tour and I felt we flew though the numerous halls. The guide did a great job of shepherding this group of 13 persons while keeping their interest covering the exhibits. The paintings and statues were extensive. Many varied... More

This is a great place to take your grandchildren. Lots of sculptures and history and what boys don't love cowboys and horses

I love museums, I love the old west, and I love history, so this place was a home run for me. I had to go to Oklahoma City for business for a few days, and the western museum was high on my list for my leisure time. I'm so glad I went, and I'll definitely be back! Understanding the hardships... More

Art, history, and culture combine for a very comprehensive interpretation of cowboy heritage and its impact on American culture. You must visit this spot if you are in the Oklahoma City area.

Words can hardly express the excitement experienced by a fan of the Old West such as myself. The sculptures were breathtaking and the paintings brought the West to life. The building is pristine and very handicap accessible. Give yourself plenty of time if you have interst in cowboys, this place is a must!
