The water taxi tour is a good way to spend an hour. A good history lesson with a fun and knowledgable guide. Brick town is a very nice development but a lot more limited than we expected; movie theatres, a few restaurants and the Ballpark....More

Every summer, after doing events, my fitness group members spend a couple of hours in Bricktown. One of the things that we do is ride the Water Taxis; it's not quite to level of the San Antonio, Texas Riverwalk, but NEVER underestimate Oklahoma City.

Maybe my expectations were too high... they are still building this area up so there is only so much to see. Our guide was trying a little too hard to be funny, I wish he would have stuck to the history of the area and...More

The pilot just turn on music and drove. No jokes, or conversation. Kind of made it less fun. But a free ride is a free ride.

The captains of the boats share a lot of interesting fact about Oklahoma and how the canal came to be. At Christmas time they offer free rides one evening of the week and cruising along looking at the Christmas lights reflect off the water is...More

The Downtown Business Improvement District offers free water taxi rides in November and December. We took advantage of it and my family had a blast. Our captains name was Mike and he did a wonderful job. Our favorite part was singing Christmas carols.

The murals were ceramic mosaics with water features. The statues were huge bronzes depicting the Oklahoma land rush. You can walk to them and walk among them if you want but the guide on the boat will give you their story.

We were lucky enough to find a meter and were able to walk all around the area. But the parking garage is a better bet.
