You have to know what you're getting into before you go here. Short hike to some amazing hot springs. There are 5 pools and the top are the hottest and get cooler as they go down. The bottom was is pretty dirty, literally dirt, and most avoid it for that reason. But the rest are amazing! We got there early... More

The dog tie up area is too far away and there is absolutely no security for your dog. So if your dog loves people and is very friendly, it would be easy for someone to steal it. You'd come out of the pool to a nightmare of losing your best friend. Leave the dog home!

These hot springs are a series of 5 pools where the water is hottest in the top pool and each successive pool is a little bit cooler. Clothing is optional, and many opt out. When we were there, we found that people tended to gather in pools with others who were similarly clad or unclad as the case might be.... More

What an amazing place to spend a couple of hours. Nature is beautiful and if we get used to it so is the naked human body. We tried to get here following the google map from the link in TripAdvisor yesterday but it took us to the wrong place. You have to keep going on the same road past the... More

When I lived in Eugene, this was on our regular radar -- both for the reservoir (when it was full) and the hot springs, usually one after the other. We even spent part of our wedding night up there with the wedding party just relaxing. Highly recommended.

Had a great soak with the family at Terwilliger (Cougar) hot springs. Such a short (1/4 mile) hike to get to such a spectacular location. They have a tie up area for dogs as they are not allowed in the pools. I was a little concerned leaving our dog there at first but it is only about 50 feet away... More

The water is wonderful to soak in. Perfect temperature for a nice relaxing soak, and you can cool off in the cold water creek next to the pools. The pools are stacked rock and nicely sized for soaking. You will see naked old men and likely others as well. Nice place to get close to nature.

It was my first time at Terwilliger Hot Springs, and the scenery was amazing through the forest and peaceful. The Hot Springs was amazing to was not crowded at all. I definitely would be going back there.

The dire predictions that the private contractor retained to manage the springs would somehow ruin the experience of a visit have not come to pass. If anything the current management has enhanced the experience. The springs are actively maintained, cleaned, and policed. Damage done by visitors is being minimized and monitored. Parking is better managed. The springs are just as... More
