We went on the "slowest" day (Monday) and since we wanted to stop at Vista House first (they opened at 9) we didn't get to Multnomah until around 11 a.m.. BIG MISTAKE. It was mobbled with selfie-obsessed people who were so busy taking (and then admiring or posting) pictures of themselves that they'd walk right into us as we tried... More

If you are staying in the Portland area you should be sure and visit. We saw a sign that told us to take a shuttle from a state park and this was good advice. There was limited to no parking at the actual falls and the shuttle was free. As an added bonus, with the shuttle you can look around... More

Take the scenic route 30 off the highway to see this waterfall and others. It's a quick detour off the highway but well worth it. Doesn't take very long. My suggestion is to get there early. We arrived about 9am but friends that were meeting up with us arrive about 10am and parking was very busy by then on the... More

This place is breath taking! It is a little drive to get there but it is well worth it. We walked to the overlook bridge which was a short walk. People did take strollers but it was a narrow walkway so it made it hard on others. At the bridge is an amazing view! You are able to take a... More

We began our week of hiking at these falls and was surprised how crowded it was. Despite the crowds that were soon left behind due to the height we hiked, the trails were very well maintained. We hiked 7 miles that day just at these falls, and saw some of the most beautiful vistas you'll ever see. There is a... More

When we travel to Oregon we make it a point to stop here and take in the beauty of this water fall. Its almost always busy but it's just other people like myself who enjoy the wonders of nature.

Multnomah falls is a popular tourist stop along The Columbia River East of Portland, Oregon. You can park nearby and walk a short distance to see the falls up close. There is a hiking trail that goes up the mountain for a better view.
