Not much to it but a nice short walk out to the point where you have great views of Brookings. You have to pass the sewage plant to get out to the point. Then it's a short uphill hike up to the point.

Yes, you have to park at the water treatment plant but the short walk is well worth the lack luster (and potentially fragrant) parking situation. The trail is partially paved and partially gravel with a short climb up to the vista. The views from the...More

Follow Wharf street to the large parking lot in front of the sewer treatment plant. The trail goes around the north side of this facility and follows the old railroad grade down to Chetco Point. There are beautiful scenic views on both sides of the...More

The views from the point are awesome, but be extremely careful as the trails are narrow and slippery. Remember to not get too close to the edge of the trail as the ground can break off and it's a long way to the rocks below.

If you go down Wharf Street you will curve around to the Water Treatment Plant. uff-da. There is plenty of parking. The lot is often muddy and the smell can knock you over. Facing the ocean hurry to the right (north), follow the sidewalk. Here...More

Turn west at Bimart, park next to the water tx center and walk through the chain link fence. Make sure you get a complementary waste bag if walking your dog and be kind. There a several picnic tables to hold a large group as you...More

Point hidden at parking lot by municipal water treatment plant, but short walk leads to an easy to get to "beach" thick with driftwood--just happened to be what I was looking for. Saw a nice sunset (partial) from here & some decent sized waves breaking...More

To get to this park you need to park next to the waste water treatment plant, but don't let that stop you. There is a nice paved trail that goes back around the plant and takes you out to the point. My wife does not...More
