As a Vietnam vet, I found the statues, the Huey and the bricks with names all stirring memories. A very loevly little park right beside 99E as you go south out of Canby

This spot is dedicated to Vietnam veterans, though the bricks will tell you we honor all veterans. Lots of history to think about, as well as the statues and helicopter. This was a labor of love and it shows.

This is a compelling sculpture of a med-evac chopper coming in to rescue an injured soldier being carried by his soldier brother. I drive by this daily. It never fails to bring a tear to my eye and a lump in my throat. This is what was happening when i was a kid. This sculpture is compelling. Drive by and... More

Has inspirational bronze and helicopter. Can be noisy next to highway but he inspiration of one man and toms of volunteers. Lesson in tenacity for others trying to commemorate events with limitied resources and lots of soul.

Memorial contains an elevated medivac helicopter and great bronze of a soldier and native child. Plantings simulate a rice field. Easy access as it is ajacent to Hwy 99E on the west end of Canby.

It took a lot of tenacity to bring this memorial to fruition. It was a vision of one man who never gave up and solicited wonderful and caring volunteers and charitable activities. Wish it was in a quieter location. It is beautiful.
