Nothing short of magnificent. The Cannon Beach is made for Kodak moments and a grand walk even on a romantic cloudy day.

The beach is fantastic. It wasn't crowded and the tide was out so I could walk out to the Haystack. The best part, it's dog friendly! My dog loved running in the water even though he hates going in too deep. Please leash your dog...More

Cannon Beach is such a cute beach town comparable to the Outer Banks in North Carolina. The beach is very wide and a great place to allow kids to play in the sand without worrying about the water. The weather is on the chillier side,...More

Good length of beach to be on. Great views of Haystack rock and the other rocks like it. There is a good parking lot at the south end of Cannon Beach (the town).

Although it was raining we walked the length of the beach. Very picturesque and enjoyable visit to Cannon Beach.

This place is a very beautiful place to visit. The people are friendly and the town offers everything you need. The sand is so soft and very tiring to walk unless you're in decent shape. Worth every step.

You have to leave the pavement and venture south on the beach in this town. Haystack Rock is worth getting as close to as you can. Lots of tidal pools to view sea critters. Good spot of viewing sunsets too. The only downside is finding...More

I had a great time walking out onto this beach to view Haystack Rock. There is a parking lot for Haystack Rock parking which is free. The only way I found onto the beach is down a side road to the beach. The beach was...More

Cannon Beach is phantastic: long and wide, so not crowded and great for a walk. The big rocks in the sea add to the beauty of the place. So do the tidal pools where you can watch starfish, crabs and small fishes. Plenty of parking...More

Literally miles (3 or 4?) of white sand beach. Perfect for walking on barefoot. The sand is so fine that it squeaks when you walk on it. It is clean, lots of seabirds (gulls, cormorants, pelicans), and beautiful skies. The water is cold, but we...More

Lucky you. LOVE Cannon Beach. We always have our dog so we stay at Land's End right in town. As with Shodogger on another answer we go to Driftwood Inn nightly for dinner. Awesome. Sleepy Monk for coffee is great... More

Probably. The coast is beautiful in the rain and that's when you find beach treasures, but raincoats are to be expected gear.
