What's not to like about the romance and magic of the pacific ocean, sandy beach, wind in your hair, maybe a little sunshine thrown in. Lovely.

I'm so glad we made a point to stop here even though it was way out of our way. It was so beautiful. It was also fun to know goonies, point break (or something along those lines), and twilight was filmed here.

This is a fun beach as you can take a nice walk and also have a great view of Haystack Rock. Depending on the tide, you can walk out to the Rock. As a bonus, the village of Cannon Beach is filled with very nice...More

This is a spectacular and wide beach perfect for walking and enjoying the wildlife. I loved watching the puffins and other birds on Haystack Rock and seeing the waves crashing out by the lighthouse way out in the water. Beautiful setting.

Great flat beach for walking or running. Doesn't have that sideway tilt, like your going to fall into the ocean. Take time and explore the rocks.(at a distance). Look for sand dollars or sand fleas, whatever pleases you and the kids. Either way you head,...More

We spent night at seaside, but this beach community much superior awesome vibrant shopping area, tourist center, great for a foodie! Wish we could stay longer live the vibe here!

This is my favourite beach on the Oregon Coast. Sandy, yet also has a rugged vibe to it. During low tide at Haystack rock there are all sorts of sea creatures, starfish, anemone etc. to see. As well as many birds including puffins!!!

Thinking of visiting Cannon Beach from Seattle for this memorial day weekend. Depart afternoon from Seattle and reaching back to Seattle by Monday morning or afternoon. Could you suggest what all the places to visit along with an inexpensive hotel to stay?

Lucky you. LOVE Cannon Beach. We always have our dog so we stay at Land's End right in town. As with Shodogger on another answer we go to Driftwood Inn nightly for dinner. Awesome. Sleepy Monk for coffee is great... More

Probably. The coast is beautiful in the rain and that's when you find beach treasures, but raincoats are to be expected gear.

We are leaving Portland on a Sunday in June and driving to Seattle airport for a night flight home. Is an out of the way drive to Cannon Beach feasible?!
