Great community! Feels and looks like small town America. Doesn’t feel like the typical beach town I’ve been used to seeing on the beaches of the Carolinas and Florida . Go and experience it, you’ll be glad you did!

Very beautiful beach with lovely views. It seemed like a great place to walk a dog and play catch as I noticed a few people doing. It was a very windy 43 degrees in November so we didn't stay too long.

Didn't expect to stay as long as we did, but so enjoyed walking around town and on the beach. Everyone was friendly and the beach had a lot of families walking arounf enjoying the fresh air

Cannon Beach is a great beach, it is wide and the sand is soft but not hard to walk in, very clean even with the many dogs we saw there.

It was a cool 60 degrees on the August day we visited, so we didn't really get to enjoy the beach. However, we walked in the sand along the shore and enjoyed the view. There is ample public parking and I'd love to visit on...More

Cannon Beach the beach or the town is a wonderful place to visit. There is shopping or just visit nature. The artisans are wonderful. The restaurants and choices for this community is great. A little drive to get there but so worth it.

This town has just about everything—world-class hotels, spectacular rock formations, a fantastic beach, terrific shops, glassblowing, and nice cafes. However, it is lacking great, reasonably priced restaurants (the Irish Table worked out best for us).

Cannon Beach is lovely to see and fun to explore. It's a predominantly sandy beach so beach shoes are fine. At low tide the tidepools are exposed and you can see sea stars, anemones, fish, etc. Also lots of birds landing on the rocks. Great...More

Lucky you. LOVE Cannon Beach. We always have our dog so we stay at Land's End right in town. As with Shodogger on another answer we go to Driftwood Inn nightly for dinner. Awesome. Sleepy Monk for coffee is great... More

Probably. The coast is beautiful in the rain and that's when you find beach treasures, but raincoats are to be expected gear.
