Haystack Rock is ridiculously beautiful-especially in the cloudless, clear blue sky weather we were lucky enough to experience. Scenery cannot be beat, period. Tide pools were disappointing, however. An occasional anemone and barnacles were not worth the wet feet in February. We were there an...More

This is one of those places that is so beautiful that crowds don't diminish the splendor. It's a very wide beach and like anywhere else on the coast, the tide changes the experience. It's iconic for a reason!

This place is amazing. A great place to take a walk along the beach and enjoy the ocean. A little chill so bring a coat.

We went to Cannon Beach for a wedding. Spent an extra day on the beach and in the town. Wish we had more time but it was definitely a beautiful area and one we will re visit soon!

A visit to Cannon Beach would not be complete without walking to the base of Haystack Rock. A couple of times a year when the tide is at its lowest, one can walk around the entire base of this monolith. The tide pools are teeming...More

Everyone goes to the beach and Haystack Rock has become the most photographed monolith in Oregon. Walk the beach and enjoy the ocean waves and sounds. It is refreshing.

What a sight to see. This area is amazing. When the tide goes out there tidal pools left behind. You don't what you might find in them. Just a nice place to relax

This place is one of my favorite. We would come here every summer in the 1960's 1970's for 2 weeks for summer vacation in July. Water is cold but weather is great. The cabins have all been replaced or had complete redo's of course. But...More

This is quite the site, you wouldn’t think of a rock as being anything special however this is no ordinary rock. Haystack rock has a presence to be commanded. It really is hard not to stare and want to explore all the life around it...More

You can no longer visit the Goonies' house in Astoria. There are no trespassing signs in the driveway. I read another review that said if you ride down a side street on a bike you can somewhat see it.
