Great overlook and hike to Crescent Beach was fantastic!

At this time of the year some of the roads were closed (so no fees right now) but we went to the overlook which was of course great. Then we did the 2.5 mile RT hike to Crescent... read more

Ecola State Park is a must see if you are in the area with its breathtaking view of the coast. With all the rock formations forming in the ocean and the rolling mountains in the background and the sea mist giving the view a mystical quality its worth just standing at the picnic tables to take a picture. Unfortunate that... More

At this time of the year some of the roads were closed (so no fees right now) but we went to the overlook which was of course great. Then we did the 2.5 mile RT hike to Crescent Beach. It goes through the forest and somewhat steep going down to the beach. The forest is beautiful and the beach is... More

We went here a few days after Christmas and there was a sign on the shack saying there was no parking fee. Don't know if it was due to the holidays, or, like someone else mentioned, all the trails being washed out. Either way it was fine with us. The road after the shack is in rough shape. Deep pot... We did the Clatsop Loop Trail hike from the outlook parking lot. Be aware that you have to pay $5 to park, so have cash ready for the meter. You then have two options...you can on the left and head up the trail that goes along the shore and cliffs or start on the right and head into the forest.... More

Speechless, impressive and mystic view on Cannon Beach. Ecola State Park is an amazing view point on the Pacific Ocean, the lights are beautiful. You can also go for a little hike through a path inside the forest.

My boyfriend and I during our coastal road trip accidentally stumbled upon this park and we are so happy that we did! We spent hours driving through the park and getting out to explore and take pictures. I would definitely recommend this for couples and families!

Amazing views of cannon beach from the north. Great park for a picnic. But make sure to hike, the are plenty of trails and some pretty cool and private places to access beaches.

Because of past rainy weather, the trails were closed. But because of this, there was no fee to go into the park.

It probably is a nice place to visit but if you see a tape and “keep off” everywhere you turn, a visit turns into a terrible waste of time. I believe that the park officials should post some sort of announcement about trails being closed right at the gate before you pay $5 to find that out on your own.... More
