Another spectacular spot

Visited late afternoon in April. We were disappointed the beach hike was closed due to pupping season. Highly recommend this spot during the season when the beach hike is open.

Wow! Glad we decided to drive out of our way to see this area. Beautiful rock formations and ocean views. My wife heard a weird noise and we walked down a trail and were able to see some sea lions. They were what she heard. The wind was blowing like crazy out on the cape. Bring your camera because there... More

We arrived at the park when the sun was shining and the wind was calm. The seals and sea lions were enjoying themselves on the rocks, singing and taking in the heat. The air was clean and the drive up was beautiful. We enjoyed walking along the trails and taking pictures of the beautiful scenery.

This free area has great views. There is a parkinglot with a few trails leading to overlooks. There are picknick tables and a restroom as well.

Defiantly coming back to this park when we have more time! Lots of hikes to take and remote ocean access!

We stayed in Sunset in a yurt and it was a lovely weekend. We were fishing out of Charleston and we turned it into a short winter time camping weekend. It was lovely.

This is my favorite go to visit when I have family or friends visiting. It doesn't matter what time of the year or what the weather is doing! I've never been let down, always beautiful and always a hit with my company! Definitely worth the drive!

Traveling Oregon's coast requires time and patience. In the Coos Bay area one great outing includes Shore Acres, Simpson Reef, and Cape Argo. Viability of wildlife may depend upon a good set of binoculars. in season there are distant sightings of whales. Seak, birds, and sea lions are numerous and close to shore. The overlooks offer a great setting for... More

We were astounded at the number of seals and sea lions perched among the rocks and swimming in the ocean at this location. It was a symphony of sound with sea lion barks and crashing waves.
