Do the Falls Trail to Get the Full Experience

The Falls Trail is a .7 mile round trip along a somewhat uneven and up-and-down path, but the close-up view of the Falls at the end of it is well worth the effort!

Bridal Veil waterfall is a very quick drive just West of the larger Multnomah Falls as you make your way on the Historic Columbia River Highway (just off I-84 on the Oregon side of the Columbia River). Be sure to bring a camera for a wonderful photo opportunity. Bridal Veil waterfall provides a picturesque view that is worth the extra... More

this is an easy hike without too much elevation and the end result is a smaller powerful waterfall unlike the majority of falls along the CRG scenic byway.

We had never been along this road on the Columbia River so it was a very nice diversion. Literally several (seven) falls along this route. Bridle Veil was the first we saw because the road was closed outside of Corbett. We went this fall and in the early morning so there was not a lot of traffic. I would imagine... More

you can catch of glimpse, but only a glimpse, from the road as you pass by in your car or however you're traveling; but for a good photo or just a moment of reflection you must park and get out and take a short few steps... slight uphill... to appreciate the grandeur of this one.

the hike down (and back up) to the falls was one of the more grueling ones (hey, we are an older couple). The falls are two-tiered and very high, you can't get too near them easily. I would skip this in favor of other ones if time or energy are an issue. They are lovely.

Everything was so green on this hike. The tree bark was covered in moss and small ferns. Just lovely. The waterfall was quite impressive too. It is a downhill trail that you must walk back up. I didn't mind but some people might.

This is one of the easiest to hike to falls around the Portland area- not too long of a drive to get there. The parking lot fills up fast so you are likely to have to wait if you come too late in the day. It's a pretty spot with lots of pine and hard woods. You can access the... More

We stopped at Bridal Veil Falls near the end of a long day of hiking and exploring. We thought we might be jaded by that point, but when we reached the end of the .3 mile hike and arrived at the viewing platform, we still caught our breath at the beauty of the falls before us. Definitely worth the hike... More

This beautiful waterfall is less than a third of a mile from the parking area. Definitely well worth taking the time to stop and enjoy the view along scenic old Highway 30.
