I visited a couple of years back before it burned down. They are planning to rebuild, if its anything like what was there before its worth the stop.

It burned down December 2015. It was so sad to hear and see a truly historical mill burn down to the ground. It's too bad the owner, Bob Russell, had it underinsured.

This was an ideal attraction but it burned down last year. There are plans to rebuild this site as close to original state. We look forward to its return.

So worth your visit...it burned Dec. last year and it is going to be rebuild....not sure when. Easy to find, great people and the town is easy to get around in.

The Butte Creek Mill suffered a devastating fire on Christmas Day 2015. They plan to rebuild but you should call ahead to find out the status before planning to visit.

The mill is still grinding flour the same way they did in 1872. A short tour is available to see the mill working. We saw them grinding corn into meal. This is the place to get fresh ground flours and dry goods as well as...More
