One of many running paths in Eugene, sometimes called "Tracktown USA," this one is a 3.8-mile riverside loop in Alton Baker Park through a woodsy and scenic area.

As a 30+ year runner with my son who's just 15, it was amazing to run the trail that Pre ran. The 4+ mile trail is in Alton Baker Park, part of a much larger trail system within the park. It had good maps and...More

If you're a runner and visiting Eugene, this is a great four-mile run (longer if you keep going toward Springfield). The path is barkomulch, and it starts at Alton Baker park. It runs past Autzen Stadium through a beautiful forested area alongside the Willamette River.

if you are a runner, you cannot miss pre's trail because of its historical meaning. If you live in Oregon, you have to run it in the summer when Eugene is 100 + to get the convection experience !

There is something very special about an early morning run on Pre's Trail. I try to run it every time I'm in Eugene. The history and aura of Prefontaine is quintessential Eugene, quintessential Oregon. Running near and over the river is awesome and the site...More

Beautiful trail. Mulch, soft, great atmosphere. Even when you see a crowd crossing the bridge it dissipates as soon as you enter the park.

A jog along Pre's trail is a must for athletes and recreational runners/walkers/joggers. The path is soft (wood chips) and meanders along through quiet areas of the Alton Baker Park. Just loved being here!

The trail has a soft running surface made of wood chips. It's relatively flat. The trail passes through a wooded area that provides great relief from the sun. Great place to run!!! Paths range from two to more than four miles.

The trail is only a few miles and there are different loops, so you don't have to be too in shape to get the experience. Great for Pre fans who want to come pay tribute. Trail itself is nice, different paths that pass a river,...More
