We had a great docent who explained some of the exhibits. He was really knowledgeable and fun to be with. There are 2 buildings so plan on seeing both. The displays are well done. This is a great place to stop.

Plenty of planes and plane parts packed inside; a handful of space related items; a ridiculously extensive model collection - almost certainly the largest in the world by a single modeller. Links to Oregon/PNW via stories of individual pilots and some very, very passionate-about-their-museum staff. Very quiet the day we visited, so we were shown around personally by one of... More

On the fringe of the Eugene Airport is this gem of a museum. All sorts of aviation history is present from clothing, pictures, and model airplanes to the real thing. What makes this place unique is that every visitor/group gets a personal tour from a volunteer who most likely is a veteran of the Air Force. Our guide was extremely... More

We have traveled all over the world, and I would still count this as one of my top picks for museums/educational facilities. Cape Canaveral and the Smithsonian Air and Space area were interesting, but there is much more history, and many more stories to be told at the Oregon Air and Space Museum. Even if you are not an aviation... More

fascinating aerospace displays and history. excellent docents. A bit pricey but acceptable with a AAA discount. If possible spend most of a day there instead of just 2 hours as we did!

We recently took a trip to the museum. My husband was looking for things to do in our area and found the museum via TripAdvisor! We had a personal tour and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. There are a lot of airplanes that you can climb up or on, as well as thousands of models made by the same guy. I... More

Wanting to kill some time, I took five of my High School buddies (all in their 60"s) to tour the museum. What a stop ! A retired Marine gave us a personal tour of the museum and man did he know his stuff ! Once he found out that two of by buddies were in the Navy, man he started... More

This was a gem at the airport in Eugene. Clean place and employees are willing to walk around with you to explain anything you want to know about. Great collection in the buildings in and out.
